Please tell us what coach/generator you have.

Often, the cause is water in the on-generator control panel.

Need a bit more information. What's the status of your house batteries? Do you have an AGS set for voltage drops? As noted, water intrusion or corrosion in the control line has caused false starts in the past.

I had this issue also

I had this issue also. The generator would simply start itself and run awhile and then stop. I verified the AGS was set to OFF. I simply want the gen to run WHEN I START IT. I would see extra hours on the use meter when I had not run it. Sometimes I could hear it running in the garage... not good. I keep the batteries filled with water and fully charged.

There is a control cable with a connector within a foot of the generator. Lots of tape around it. Note this cable does not carry any power to/from the generator. It's just where the remote start, Magnum panel connect. I removed the tape, pulled the connector apart and cleaned the 6-wire connector with electronic terminal cleaner. Then, I filled the connector with Di-electric grease and reconnected. I taped the connector with rubber weather-proof tape and then electrical tape.

In the past, it happened very rarely. Like 2-3 times a year. I haven't noticed any issue since I did this work.

I had the same situation as BradS on my 2017 RED. Once I cleaned that connection and resealed it I never had the problem again.
