Going to Red Bay

OK, this is probably a dumb question. Here and on other online points many people talk about going to Red Bay to get work and modifications done to their Tiffins.

We purchased a 2014 recently and are getting ready to load up and head out full-time but it has a few issues that need addressing and we'd like to see about upgrading the refrigerator to a residential model, etc.

Are there any places around that area we can make an appointment for work and camping or is it first come/first serve? We'd like to make that our first destination on the way down to warmer climates in March.

Also need to call freightliner and get some inspection stuff done as well, but it looks like there are a couple of local places to get that done before we go.

Thanks in advance, sorry if it is an annoying question. We're getting close now and I am in full panic mode as I don't really have a plan for the first two weeks other than try to get somewhere away from frozen Illinois.

Most of the campgrounds in Red Bay are small gravel lots and first come first serve basis. Red Bay Acres takes reservations so you could start there. As far as getting reservations for work to be done, you will have to look at what you want done and then reach out to the vendors to set appointments. Some will come to your campsite and others will require you to come to theirs, simply depends on what type of work you need done.

I recently got this from someone on this forum, since we're looking to go there as well in February.

Thank! I had seen something like this a few months ago and couldn't find it again!

For your chassis work I can highly recommend Bay Diesel in Red Bay. They are an authorized Freightliner dealer.

I agree for engine, generator and chassis work Bay Diesel is superb

For coach work, there is a shop about a 1/2 hour away

Appalachian Foothills RV
205.430.2480
6223 State Hwy 129, Winfield, AL

It is both a small RV park and a repair facility
The RV park was created to support the repair facility
Both are brand new facilities
The work they did for me was very excellent
Their customer service was excellent as well
The technicians previously worked for Tiffin in Red Bay
