Half of 110 volts circuits without power.

Tiffin Allegro Red 33AA
I HOPE THIS EXPERIENCE WILL BENEFIT OTHERS.
Went camping this past weekend to Bull Creek County Park, Flagler County, Florida. 50 amp service included. After all hook-up completed we noticed that while the rear AC, the fridge, microwave and most outlets had power, but the front AC was not functioning, neither the fireplace, the central vacuum and finally the engine heater outlet. Looked at the Magnum converter electric diagrams, turn off and on the corresponding breakers, started to check voltages to find where the power was lost. Found that at the main breaker of house electrical panel only one of the two main breakers had voltage. Decided to disconnect the shore power and started the generator. All functionned.
The issue was at the campsite box, only one leg of the 50 amp was powered. Changed site and problem solved.
I wish my integrated surge protector would display shore power conditions using LEDs to indicate status.

A Progressive Industries EMS would've immediately shown an error code that only one leg of the 50 amp service was live. I've also had to move campsites when my display showed an error code for the pedestal power.

My SurgeGuard 35550 found that L2 on a 50 amp pedistal was intermittent at a USACE campsite last month, showed that to me with the LED's on the device in the electrical bay. As I did not need to run the A/C I just plugged into the 20 amp. Turned out the 30amp plug was using L2 also so that was intermittent. I had it plugged in there for a bit till the SG turned it off too.

You lost the leg highlighted in Green in this chart.

I would suggest that you install a Progressive EMS, which in addition to protecting you against low voltage, miss wired or missing connections, would have shown that you didn't have any voltage on that leg when you plugged in.

On my 2014 Allegro 36LA the shore power cable has two blue indicator led lights which indicate incoming power on each leg. Unfortunately one of them stopped working.
Has any one ever messed with trying to replace one or both of these lights? Just wondering bc it doesn't look like it is worth the effort to me.

You'd need to explore to find out if the LEDs are integrated into a circuit board or available for replacement. The 120v is obviously reduced down to the requirements of the LED, but whether it's repairable or not is the question. Does it have a brand name or other identification?

I highly recommend a Progressive Ind. EMS for all RVs, they not only protect all the electrical items in your RV but protect your wallet with a 'buy once' warranty that offers lifetime repair or replacement. The nature of an EMS is the surge protector will sacrifice itself in an extreme power surge. PI replaces or repairs, free. The TRC Surge Guard is one (year) and done, you buy another unit.

It's also a good use of your time to become familiar with your power panel. In a 50 amp RV, turn off one of the 50 amp breakers and note which outlets and appliances still work. Then do the same with the other 50 amp breaker. Which 50 amp leg powers your converter/charger? Refrigerator? etc. If the pedestal is only live on one circuit, if the 120v items you notice seem to work, you might not notice your batteries are being consumed when you thought you were on shore power.
