Harsh riding Allegro

Our 2011 Allegro Breeze 28 has a harsh ride, especially when passing over highway bridges. Unit has 50k miles and is otherwise quite adequate for us. Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Or is this just “the nature of the beast”?

What are your tire pressures set at?

Yes! Absolutely!

You can spend thousands to make it handle and drive some what better. But to improve the ride you’ll need to replace the front and rear suspension with $25,000+ Liquid Spring suspension products.

1) Is the harsh ride something new, or has it always been this way?
2) Have you weighed the coach, in travel mode (full fuel tank, at least partial tank of water, with all your gear)? Then checked the tire mfg's. chart to determine what your tire pressures should be at, based on that weight?
If that's all covered, and you still have the same ride quality, then unless you have some suspension issue, it's probably just the nature of the short wheelbase .... beast.

50K miles on the coach, have you checked your shocks?

You should check your ride height to see if it's in spec.
The ride height valves controls the air in the air bags.
If to high or low, the suspension may be bottoming ot topping out, causing the harsh ride. You need to research the ride height specs and where to measure.

The Breeze is a diesel pusher with air ride suspension and is not ls LS compatible.

On top of some of the great suggestions and comments, you can always give our team a call and describe the concern to the technicians. I would also like to suggest maybe looking into some type of steering stabilizer or maybe Safe-T-Plus to help.

Don't see a steering stabilizer help with bridge transitions.

x2 on tire pressures. Start with a four-corner weight and make sure you're not overloaded, giving the suspension less than optimal room to work. But the tires are the first element of the suspension system. Personally, after my four-corner weights showed me well with in my tire, axle and vehicle weight limits, I inflate to the placard pressures on the rig and analyze the ride from there. My ride turned out fine at placard pressures of 95 rear and 105 front.

Ron,
Since it has been determined that you have air ride and 50K on the clock, you are down to playing with tire pressures (they don't have to be at the max) and a new set of shocks.
Are you "bottoming out" with a hard hit or just a jounce you feel?
Do you have bump stops? If so, are they showing signs of deuteriation?
We need more info...........

Not with a diesel coach he doesn't. As Dan pointed out, the OP's Allegro Breeze is diesel.
