Healthy batteries

I am questioning myself, what is the range my batteries should stay in. I am plugged in 50 amp service, should the inverter be on to keep charger working?

I don't know about you inverter/charger, With 50 amp service you do not need to have the inverter on. On my unit I can run the battery charger without inverting. When the batteries get charged the charger will go into float mode. This will maintain your batteries at a full charge. If you have flooded batteries, you may want to check the water level once a month if you will be connected to shore power the whole time. Your batteries could loose some water from being on charge for a long period of time.

Thanks,

Bill

It would help to know what model inverter/charger you have. Likely the inverter portion enables and disables automatically with the presence of show power, as does the charger portion.

Over 5 years ago when I had my Samsung 197 RR frig installed they also removed the Xantrex 458 Freedom inverter and installed the Magnum 2812 and in the 5 +years my inverter has never been turned off. I also removed the Xantrex echo charger and installed the Magnum Combiner. With this system I have only added water to my chassis battery once and the house batteries maybe 2 or 3 times, never an over charge.
