Hot Water Help

Something strange has happened with our RED 33aa (2018). All of a sudden, we are getting warm water, not hot water. The hot water heater is firing, and the water from the pressure release valve is hot. But by the time it gets to a faucet - warm at best.

I turned off the hot water supply to the manifold in the bathroom, and yet the water is still full strength from the faucet - cold. Turn it back on and you get the full stream - warm. Now if I understand my plumbing, there should be NO water pressure in the faucet (any faucet) if I turn off the hot water supply in the manifold and turn the faucet to hot. So it seems like there must be some place that mixes the hot from the heater with cold BEFORE it gets to the manifold. But darned if I know where.

There is NO water leaking anywhere that I can find. No spots under the coach or in the coach. The hose is not running when no faucet is on, and when on the fresh tank, the water pump stops as you would expect. Pressure is what it has been.

So is there a mix valve somewhere that I don't know about????

Inside shower valves were open with shutoff switch turned off. I wouldn't think that would matter, but more than willing to give it a shot. Hope it works.

Same thing happened on my "new to me" Excursion when I first got it. Only had warm water. Found the answer here on this forum! The outside shower button was off but both faucet handles were still turned on. This causes the water flow system to act like a mixing valve.

With shower turned off by button on handle the shower faucet becomes a mixing chamber......cold water dilutes hot water resulting in luke warm water flowing thru hot water system

Either the inside and/or outside showers can cause this.
Also if the water heater 'bypass' valve is still open after 'de-winterizing'

I believe this is why most if not all RV shower heads do or at least used to dribble a little when you used the "pause" button so you would know that you needed to shut off the valves when finished showering.
