How to change LED on ceiling lights

I have the led ceiling lights in my 2009 Phaeton. There are 3 LED lights mounted on a wood base. How do I get to the LEDs for replacement?

In my rig the lens units "screw" off. Take a kitchen lid opener and push it against the outer rim. You may have to try both directions to find out which way is correct. Mine turn clockwise looking up at the lens. Only takes 10° or so to get them off.

Thanks, that was the exact solution. I replaced the square LEDs with the round ones but does not seem much brighter..Any ideas on how to make a brighter light?
