How to replace Donaldson P551103 fuel filter

I have a 2009 Phaeton with a Cummins 360 HP engine with a Donaldson P551103 Fuel filter. I was trying to replace the filter by draining the filter before removal. This filter has a twist drain and the fuel did come out, however it never seemed to stop flowing. I removed approximately 4 liters and it kept flowing. How do I stop the fuel flow? So I can remove the filter. The engine has not run for about 2 weeks, so I wonder where all that fuel is coming from.
Thanks,
David

The fuel is coming from the fuel tank. If you have a full tank you will always get fuel. Most get the tank down to at least 1/4 and then raise the rear of the coach. This should help.
Some use a vacuum at the tank to keep the fuel from running to the engine.
On some of the earlier models you could squeeze off the fuel line but be careful, many have a rigid fuel line and it could be damaged by squeezing the line off.

Thanks, can a shut off be placed in the line to the fuel filter? I guess that the same fuel flow would happen with the other fuel filter.

Have you tried raising the rear of the MH? Make sure you have jack stands under the frame if you do...
Folks have installed a fuel shutoff. Just make sure the shutoff is the same ID diameter as your fuel line.
