Question HWH Hydraulic Jack System Creep?

Three times over the past couple of months of storage, I've found our 2021 Allegro RED 37 PA has mysteriously fully extended the PS rear jack and the dual tires are 2" off the floor. I store our coach in an enclosed RV bay in our home which has a level floor. When parking the coach, I always auto-level it and leave it. None of the tires ever leave the floor when auto-levelled. Three times recently, I've gone out to find the coach cockeyed with the PS rear jack fully extended. I have not touched the HWH leveling system in the interim (Note: I usually have started the coach and retracted/extended all the slides at least once before each event, though the I've never noticed the HWH system functioning when I've done so). Any ideas on what might be causing the
jack to mysteriously extend?

(I tried the Search function to see if others had experienced my issue but couldn't narrow the results down enough to be useful to me.)

The only way it can extend is if the pump is running and the solenoid for that jack opens.

Do you have the Valid leveling system or the HWH control pad?

It's the HWH control pad

Sounds like a short circuit and possible inadvertent activation of the jacks, the HWH control pad/module, or thermal expansion of the fluid in the pistons.

My best guess aside, I have a question and and observation. If the floor is level, why are you using the jacks? By doing so, your hydraulic reservoir remains partially filled. In the TX heat and cooler nights, this will lead to condensation forming in the reservoir, hydraulic fluid mixing w/water (contamination) as well as potential for bacterial growth, which will further contaminate and compromise your leveling system (if not already there).

I don't know what your manual says, but mine says not to store the coach on jacks. It doesn't give a reason, but a partially filled tank of anything (fuel, DEF, hydraulics, etc.) is never a good thing.

Good luck

the only way a jack extends for any large degree is when the pump runs.
thats the only way. im talking about inches, not less than an inch.
the jacks will all extend or retract when the fluid expands or contracts when the temp changes.

I would check all the connections and grounds.

Or, just pull the fuse.

Based on what you’ve described, there are a few possible causes—such as a sticking solenoid valve, unexpected pressure buildup, or an intermittent electrical issue—but a thorough diagnosis would be the best way to pinpoint the exact issue.

We’d love to help explore possible resolutions and recommend reaching out to Tiffin Tech Support so they can assist in troubleshooting further. Their team has direct access to system schematics and can provide specific guidance tailored to your coach. You can reach them at 256-356-0261 for support.

We’re happy to help however we can!
