Hydraulic reservoir leak

I’ve developed a leak in the hydraulic bay in my 2014 Phaeton and am convinced it’s not a hose but of course it’s behind everything that can be seen and am questioning if it’s in the reservoir? I see 2 bolts that could be loosened but not sure that would give me the access I need and wondered if anyone else has had a similar issue?

Often leak= overfilled heat= expansion/ overflow? Good Luck. PICTURES???

I've not had a leak in our 2014 Allegro Bus. I'd suggest you clean it real well, run it a few times, and use your phone, if you don't have an inspection camera, to look for leaks.

Since the tank isn't under pressure, but the lines are, odds are the leak is in the lines or pump.

My Open Road has a similar slow leak. The bay is actually dry but the two bolts that hold it and bolt through the floor are wet on the underside of the RV and periodically drip. I assume it’s a fairly straightforward issue but I haven’t had the time to take it apart.

I’ve cleaned it well and used a camera that attaches to the IPhone and all hoses and connections look fine and I can’t find any problems. That being said, it is quite a task to visualize much in the back where the reservoir is. Pretty sure it’s not an overflow issue as I had to add a quart to it to get it to the proper level. I’ve been thinkin about taking it out since only 2 bolts hold it down but 16 hoses and a few wires have me thinking twice about tackling it. The front part is clean as a whistle. Thanks for the responses.

I'd suggest you wrap a paper towel around each line going into the pump. Then any other suspect area. Look at each one separately to narrow your issue.

On both my Phaeton and the bus, I found that the brass fittings were leaking. Just a few drops each time the pump was used but enough that over time it got pretty messy in the compartment. Why Tiffin used brass on steel fittings is baffling to me.

Found it! My son came over and looked around w a camera attached to my IPhone while I activated the slideouts and the passenger side rear slide out solenoid was the culprit and located on the back of the HWH hydraulic unit. I removed the solenoid and saw the obvious bad seal and am having HWH overnight the O rings. Finally! Thanks for all the great responses.

Now to clean up the mess I created by filling the reservoir w the jacks down :(
