Ignition Disconnect

In the passenger side overhead compartment above the windshield I have 2 sets of outlets. The one on the right has a sticker that says "Top Outlet Ignition Disconnect" the bottom outlet has something plugged into it. See pics. What does that mean? I'm confused.

The one labeled ignition disconnect probably turns off/on with the ignition switch, while the other is hot all the time.
This of course likely only works when your generator is running.

You might want to consult your coaches Owner Manual. It will probably explain it to you.

RandomDV8-

Usually the front TV is plugged into the outlet that is switched by the ignition. This is to prevent watching the TV while driving down the road.

The outlet is off when the ignition switch is on. Fulfills a USDOT requirement to disable any TV that could be seen by the driver while the vehicle is in operation.

Thanks. That make sense. Also why nothing is plugged into it.

All are correct with one exception. You plug your tv into the bottom outlet, you can view it while driving. The ignition switch only kills power to the top outlet, not the bottom. My wife occasionally watches tv while we’re on the move. I just listen and the drivers seat is really too far forward to watch.
