Did you do all at the same time or individually?
I'm seriously considering the Safe-T-Plus but don't know how much that alone will accomplish.
Also looking at the SuperSteer Motion Control units for the rear air bags to reduce some of the side to side rocking when on uneven roadways.

I am having a safe-t-plus installed tomorrow on my phaeton 40AH. I will report back here how it goes.

Tiffin Windshields Repaired and installed
Mr Hester has over 30 years experience installing windshields at the Tiffin Service Center in Red Bay Al. He’s installed several for me over the years and does great work.
He is opening a shop of his own at his newly opened campground across the road from the Tiffin service center.
Call David. Save a little money and a lot of time.
Tiffin Service Center is great but quite often has a backlog to get into the windshield shop.

I had it installed about a week ago, but I have only driven it home from the shop, about 20 miles. I seemed to drive better, but 20 miles is not really a good test. It will still be a month to 6 weeks before I take it on a proper trip.

Second one was plumbing enhancements. Added an accumulator to smooth out water flow. Changed out the crappy, stiff water hose and spray head for a flexible connection hose and put a multi spray head on it. It works 1000% better than the original. Didn't want to store the fresh water hose in the wet bay, so I made a hanger out of a shelf bracket and a piece of 4" PVC in the electrical bay.
Third, I installed a 0.5 micron 3M Filtrete filtration system next to the sink, which is supposed to filter out 99.99% of cysts, sediment, sand, soil, silt, rust, etc.
Fourth one is LED lighting controlled by RF controllers with three zones so far. Haven't decided what to do with the fourth zone yet.
Stay tuned, there may be more to come later.

Looks great! Maybe you can show Don this weekend how to do the shower thing. I have been asking him for it!!1

On the passenger side, we had that sofa removed and had a custom built entertainment center with a 40 inch Samsung installed on a motorized lift. We have a Sonos sound bar at the bottom of the TV that gives us our stereo sound.
We had the TV removed over the dash and had insulation added in the area before the cabinet was built and installed.
There is more that was done at this time and will post photo's later.
We are now full timing and living in the Bus. We love our mods and made it ours. We just could not justify buying a newer/different motorhome and still having to do some mods to it as there just wasn't anything out there at the time that we would consider.

Lovely. Where did you have the custom desk made???

I have some electronics in one of the overhead cabinets above the passenger seat of our 2018 Tiffin Phaeton 40AH. I needed to leave the door open to provide air circulation to prevent overheating. My wife does not like looking at the "ugly" wifi router and "mess" or wires and wanted me to fix it. I suppose I could have cut a hole in the door and covered it with a grill or possibly have another door made, but where's the fun in that? I noticed the louvered doors in the bedroom on the main electronics cabinet and was inspired to make my own louvered door insert to replace the raised panel on the existing door. Looks like I should have lowered the windshield shade before taking the picture. Sorry.

Added door exit / puddle lights to Tiffin Wayfarer
Love how on Sprinter vans when you open the cab doors a light at the bottom of the door shines down onto your step and the ground? Well these exit lights (aka puddle lights) don't come with the Sprinter 3500HD cab chassis used by RV manufacturers.
It also appears the wiring harnesses and connectors on the 3500HD chassis does differ from the van's behind the door panels. No joy hitting the easy button to install and connect up door exit / puddle lights to existing modules or wiring.
I added them anyways. I purchased the two Mercedes door exit lights from a MB Sprinter dealer and then had to run my own power. I ended up taking power from my center roof console courtesy lamps by soldering some feeder wires to its circuit board where the light bulbs make contact. Then I had fun fishing all that wire to bottom of both doors. Good news is my Class C Tiffin Wayfarer now has automatic door exit / puddle lamps just like the vans and class Bs. Yay!
Best,
-Mark

Nice projects. I was thinking about the accumulator. I had put one on my last coach. Time to do it here. Also love the replacement of the crapy outdoor shower hose. I am also going to do a hanging bracket for the hose and build something to contain the sewer hose. Great ideas.

Flag Pole Ladder Mount
I made this flag pole mount for my SA32 roof ladder. It is a permanent mount solution to storing the pole just raise and lower from climbing a couple rungs.
Fortunately I'm a machinist and was able to design and manufacture it.

Insulate Outside TV Cabinet
I noticed on my 2017 SA32 that when I was baking my butt off in Red Bay last year in July I was outside with the TV enclosure open that there was a lot of inside air escaping around the TV. When I got home and investigated it and behind the kitchen draws there was nothing but a huge hole going straight outside along with my AC.
To fix the issue I removed all the draws and packed insulation in the holes and cutouts around the back of the TV and then screwed a 1" thick piece of foam board to the wood fame work. There is plenty of room behind the draws for this and I think it's bad when you purchase something so nice in appearance that this is the cheap things you don't see.
The plus is it's much quieter inside the MH not hearing the outside TV playing and vise versa..
My next project is insulating around the residential refrigerator where when winterizing it I noticed the same gaping air gap.

We thought the L couch was not very comfortable and the sofa-bed when out blocked access to both sides of the coach and we didn't foresee any future use for the sofa-bed. We'll carry a full size air mattress if we had a need for an extra sleeping area.

Our new furniture came in pieces that were easy to get into the coach. The recliner back is separate and slides on and the three recliner couch is in six pieces accordingly. The three couch sections (two pieces each) attach to each other at the bottom of their bases to make one unit. A little clumsy to move as one piece but it works good. The base has places to attach the couch to the slide floor if desired.
Now to remove the L couch beast. It is initially two pieces consisting of the sofa bed section against the wall and the slider section. Both are very heavy and the sofa bed is a real challenge to get out the door but it can be done with two strong people. First detach the sofa bed section from the floor by removing four hex head self tapping screws, two on each end. They can be reached fairly easily reaching through the opening between the back cushion and the head of the sofa bed. Did you know that the head of the sofa bed can be lifted to support sitting up to watch the television? Once that's free you can move it out of the coach. Then you can get at the four similar screws holding the slider section down. After much grunting and swearing failing to get this section out we discovered that the back cushion of the slider section can be lifted off the base by removing four nuts holding it on the lower slider frame. Once those are separated removing them is a piece of cake. Be wary of the slider section though because the end section will now easily lift up out of the base but is still attached at the other ends channeled rollers. So that's how we did it, wish you well and hope this helps if you go this route. Travel safe.

Just a couple of questions.
Are you satisfied with the comfort of the new furniture? How do you feel the material is holding up? Our dinette isn't holding up anywhere like our L sofa and Euro recliner which has never reclined properly since day one. We are looking to possibly make the same changes as you did.
Thank you.

I too replaced the L Sofa in our 36LA. We needed to be able to go from the bedroom to the kitchen when the pull out bed is opened and you are blocked by the pull out bed when it is open. As a matter of fact, it pushes up against the fireplace. Don't think Tiffin's engineers thought too much about that. Now we are removing the dinette and replacing it with a credenza, table and two chairs. Some models came that way. Unfortunately it was not my intent to do so, but all the leather on all our furniture is a victim of deteriorating leather. It looks like the material has small pox. It is peeling. Not just where you sit, but everywhere. This happened to me in 2009 with a Damon coach. I swore I would never buy another Damon. I thought I was moving up going to Tiffin, but I guess not. They use the same cheap junk as the rest of them even when they were aware of the same situation many years before. I emailed them regarding this situation, but they are ignoring it. I guess they only answer when an attorney calls. No more Damons and no more Tiffins.
