I'm going through the bidding sheet submission process right now for a 2021 Red 38KA.

I would like to know from those who chose the induction cooktop/Aqua hot (all electric) if you had it to do over would you still pick this option?

From those who have the gas stove top with the Truma do you wish you had chosen the Aqua hot or are you satisfied?

Good, Bad, Indifferent other than personal choice and knowing you have all electric with no propane.

We have a 2020 RED 37BA. Went with all electric so we do not have to worry about propane refills. The induction cooktop is nice, did not know until we picked up RV that it came with cookware for the cooktop. Nearly endless hot water is nice, do not even think about hot water when we take our showers.

Would do it all again.

Love my all electric Phaeton. Had a Fleetwood with induction before but sill needs propane for the Water heater and furnaces. One less thing to worry about and one less road restriction for these places where you can’t go through with propane.

But I guess it comes to personal choice in the end.

I don’t think we would go back to propane etc. we have the Wolf option so we must have 50 amps or run generator but we don’t dry camp very often. If we were boondockers, that might make a difference.
When we traveled Alaska last year we bought a portable induction cooktop as most campgrounds in BC, Yukon Territory and Alaska are 30 amp, if that

Just took delivery of a 40IH. We tend to go off the beaten path. Many state, municipal part, National Forest, BLM, Army Corp of Engineers and a fair amount of dry camping/boondocking. I ordered the propane with Truma. If I were an RV park/Resort type of guy I would most likely gone with the all electric. Being that I spend a fair amount of time without 50 amp hookups the propane coach fit my requirements. I opted for the solar panels as well. My experimentation with no hookups the last week shows that I do not need to run the generator at all unless I need AC. Works for me.

We dry camp and do the off the beaten path parks as well

Having an Aquahot and 150 gallons of fuel, max, has gave us a lot more options especially in colder weather

Running the generator 2 hours or so per d as y usually works for 24

Over the years running low on propane during cold weather camping was always a problem

Certainly propane works for some but for us never again

Another vote here for all electric.
Aqua-hot, unlimited hot water and radiator heating system
Heated tile floors a plus
Basement fridge instead of propane tank down below
10KW Onan.

I converted my Phaeton from a gas cooktop to an induction. I really prefer induction for many reasons and it is far superior to RV gas cooktops. In our case we had a cooktop/oven combo. I pulled it out and installed a dishwasher and the cooktop. Been really happy with it. Before we went full time we put an induction cooktop in our house. With the exception of the Wolf, the induction cooktops used in RVs are underpowered compared to the home units.

I also have an all electric and it has been good for us (but we do mostly RV parks with hookups). Batteries are good for about 24 hours without using the generator.

The one item I was disappointed with was the electric tray in the main basement. Items must be shorter than the frame to slide under it. I seem to loose a lot of storage space due to the 6" used for the tray (bottom) and 6-12" (top). I would not reorder this, if I were to do it over again.
