Instrument Panel Dead
In our 2021 Tiffan 340 when turning the ignition key on I have no instrument lights nor do any of the instruments appear to be on. The typical warning alarm of "Low Air" is not coming on. Engine starts with no problem but even after starting, no instrument lighting or instruments. Completely Dead
Thoughts?

Check the connections on the ignition switch. On our Phaeton I found the connector falling off.

Instrument Panel Dead
My panel is also having exact same issues. I brought it to Freightliner and was told it’s a common problem with Tiffins. An RV with the same issue was checking in before me.
They said it’s the spider control board and said it was on a National back order. My RV has been sitting there for 3 weeks awaiting the part.
If it doesn’t make it by Dec 28th. I may drive to Florida without instruments.

yep, talked w/ freightliner yesterday sounds like the same issue.
He did say the instrument panel will go black when the system detects an issue such as low voltage.
That being the case it needs to have a diagnostic run on the board to determine. It can perhaps be re-set by freightliner.

Did you not receive warranty campaign notice #SF637 from Daimler/FCCC?

Same
My 2006 Allegro Bay (Workhorse) - same problem. Although the temp and fuel gauges work.

Thanks again for the recall info, this is exactly what is taking place. Low Voltage was appearing on the panel when I would first start but the batteries were not low, they were reading 13.4 Volts. I have an appointment w/ Freightliner scheduled, they also stated it has been an ongoing issue with the Viper Module that they would take care of.
It can perhaps be reprogramed, if not a new module is needed.
I appreciate you taking the time to respond to this.

Viper modules are taking a long time to stock. Seems to be a fairly common problem. If you let it run for a few minutes you can shut down and restart and it will start working again. We had this problem coming out of a month's storage. I let it run a few minutes and then shut it down and restarted and didn't have the problem again the rest of our trip. We took our rig in for warranty service and they took it over to Freightliner for us. It's been several weeks and they still don't have the Viper module in. If we were looking to use it, I would just go pick it up and replace the module some other time. As long as you know to let it run a bit and then restart it to bring it back up it isn't much of an issue.

Thanks for this information. Initially I could simple turn the ignition off and then back on allowing it to recycle and that would solve it.
This no longer works I also would start and let in run for awhile to no avail. Currently in shop to see if Viper can be reprogrammed or if a new one is needed. If new one, yes same story backlog order and who knows when.
