Issue with the sofa bed when it's open!!

I have been looking at coaches over the last year or so, and as you all know there are allot of choices to choose from. I like the quality of the Allegro Open Road 36LA the issue that I have is that in my family I have a 16 year old and an 85 year old that will be traveling with my wife and I, as you can see I need at least three separate sleeping (beds) the 36LA has the dinette that turns into a bed, this one is good for the 85 year old and the sofa is good for my 16 year old, the 16 year old is 6'3" so he cannot sleep in the dinette, the issue with this model is that when the sofa bed is open it blocks what ever little space there is to get to the bathroom, and whom ever is sleeping in the dinette cannot go to the bathroom, is anyone else having an issue with this? Can this sofa be replace with a Magic Bed this would work because the sofa it self is long enough and if the sofa would just open half way there would be enough room to get to the bathroom, I hope this makes sense unfortunately Tiffin does not make a model with a drop bed in the front cab like the Thor Challenger and the George Town XL, unfortunately the quality of these two companies are not to par with Tiffin but I may not have a choice, hopefully someone at Tiffin reads this and they can come up with a solution for this issue. Thanks

I can appreciate your concern and sadly I don’t have anything to address it. I do have a 36LA currently in winter storage and I wondered how tall of a person could comfortably sleep on the dinette bed. I can measure mine when the time comes but that’s not convenient right now. Fortunately for us we rarely have anybody with us in the RV but the grandkids are reaching the age where one or more could join us on occasion. I would prefer that any guests be able to utilize the dinette rather than the sofa air bed because of the way the sofa bed limits access.

Could the 16 yr old not sleep on the couch while not extended to a bed? Kids these days seem to be able to sleep standing up, sitting up etc. lol How do I know? Have 2 of them. Always the tent option for them as well. Sure they don't want to listen to our snoring.

Sofa Issue!

Thanks for the note! It looks like I may have to look at a different coach brand that might work, yesterday I visited a local RV show and I saw a Winnebago Adventurer 37F that looks like it might work, we are going back today with the whole clan to make sure it works, again thanks for your help.

Occasionally our son or daughter along with their children go with us. The sofa bed is a problem if you want to use it. We crawl over the bottom of the bed to get to the front. My plan, when it gets warm, is to see if the frame can be modified to create a small isle when it is opened.
