“Jack Buzzer” ???

I have a fuse labeled “jack buzzer”. My only guess is it controls the “dinging” from my HWH leveling system when the ignition key is on. Is this correct?

How can I find out if there is anything else on that fuse shy of operating everything in the coach with that fuse pulled?

We are stationary for a while and I try to start and run my diesel engine for about an hour once per week just to turn everything over but the dinging makes it difficult if we are in the coach. I would like to try to disable that noise.

2016 Phaeton 40QBH.

Thanks,
Stratford

Why are you running your engine?? It’s not doing it any good.
The “buzzer” is under the dash and the sound can be adjusted.

How? I'd love to adjust mine to be a bit quieter. I feel like a real dips%@# when I pull into a campground and then subject everybody to "ding-ding-ding" for the 5-10 minutes as I level and extend all four slides. And repeat when I'm leaving.

The chime is a black round object about 1-1/4" in diameter up under the dash with several holes in the front. The cap on the front can be rotated to make the holes smaller lessening the sound. Some have even taped over the holes to quieten it even more. Below is what mine looks like.

If I am in a campground that does not allow generator operation during certain hours, I will pull the buzzer fuse to get rid of the buzzing with the engine running to charge the batteries, typically to make coffee in the morning. I don't think the fuse is on any other circuit.

Running your diesel at fast idle doesn't get your exhaust system hot enough to clear out water vapor that condenses in the system after shut down leading to some very expensive exhaust system components rusting from the inside out .
Newer systems with a DPF ( Diesel Particulate Filter ) can easily be damaged by not getting up to the full temperature , they require to go into regenerate mode.

the buzzer is a "safety feature" its your coach. you can disable it, or it can be adjusted for sound level.
