Jack maintenance

What sort of maintenance should you regularly do on your jacks. The left rear jack regularly doesn’t go down with autolevel cycle but will go down if you push the extend button.

Since the jack works when you manually extend it, I suspect it isn't the jack itself. (I think the controller board. )

I would contact HWH or AZPete on this forum.

My HWH jack system has starting to do the same this season. The right rear stays up but can be lowered after the rv is level and will retract with the others under auto store. It is always that specific jack.
Not a big problem since the rv is pretty stable with three jacks down.

We seek perfection in all systems.

So on mine.. 25+ yrs old.. found there is a wiper seal kinda inset in recess on cylinder .. so I used 4 cans wd40 or something else.. and toothbrush to clean out crud that gets packed in it.. how this happens I can't tell.. but if you use a really strong flashlight.. you will see what I mean.. you can lightly clean with steel wool after cleaning out recess .. to clean cylinder.. I used steel wool and 1,000 grit sandpaper and cleaned any rust areas .. becarefull.. now this is a little controversial.. but it worked for me.. wipe down with wd40 and clean rags.. takes 1 day for each jack.. then exercise.. make sure resovior is full with fresh oil.. the old oil will get moisture in it.. so you need to change it.. often if you run in water .. my tank is exposed.. some are not..
Good luck and keep us posted

if the jack works normally, when you operate it in manual operation, but doesn't work in the autolevel sequence, i would suspect the pressure switch on that jack.
when the jack extends, and reaches the ground, it has at least 180 to 220 lobs of pressure on it and the switch closes and tells the computer that the jack is down. if it is stuck closed, the jack wont go down, because the computer thinks its already down.
if it lifts too high, it is stuck open, and is telling the computer, that no ground signal is present, so add pressure.
either way, replace the pressure switch. RAP8003
