Jack Use and Leveling
I have a 2016 32SA. My owners manual says to level the RV first then put out the slides. How many of you don't use the jacks if the RV is already level?

If you are level, you do not need to put the jacks down to extend the slides. However, with the jacks up, you might get a lot of movement within the coach when you are moving around.

This is probably true in most cases. Having a full length slide I know that the coach does tilt a surprising amount without the leveling jacks down.

If the frame twist while the slide is being extended or retracted, you may get your slide stuck, or worse, damage the mechanism.
On a Class A or Super B diesel chassis, the frame is very stiff and sturdy so it's usually fine to put the slides out without the levelers down. On any other type of chassis, I'd always put the levelers down first and retract them last.

When we had our 2019 32SA, if it was level, in our drive, I’d run the slides out without having jacks down without issues. Not level, jacks go down.

I normally use the jacks, even if level, just for stability; especially if it is windy. It's not necessary and I have set up without the jacks down. It's not a right or wrong thing to do or not do, if level.
Thanks,
