Jacks Down in reverse !

I'm writing this just as a precaution. I have a pad next to the house with hookups where we store the Tiffin. The pad has a slight tilt to it so I need to extend the front levelers a bit so the coach sits level. Today while backing in and leveling I had to get out out and make sure I was not back to far on the pad. As always I applied the parking brake and leveled the front. I got out to double check my posistion on the pad and while walking behind the coach I relized the back up lights were on. I had not put it in park and leveled it while the transmission was in reverse. I would think there would be some sort of overide that would not let the levelers to come down unless I was in park. I could have easily bent the levelers had for some reason I released the parking brake

I believe the safety feature for the jacks is tied into the parking brake , once the brake is set the levelers are operational .No tie into the shifter.

Agree. The backup lights will be on if you shut the engine down while it's in reverse. Just start it up and press the "N". It'll already be in neutral, but when you hit the "N" the lights will go out.
