Kenwood Navigation/Radio System

We have had alot of problems with the Kenwood Nav system in our 2014 Tiffin Allegro Red. It seems to keep recalculating and the little car is never on the road. We have tried to no avail to update. We were curious as to whether anyone else has had problems.

Have not seen this problem.
Is it recalculating when you are following the suggested route? Does it show correct location when stationary?
Do you have a profile set for RV size?

Do you have the update available, and it would not accept it??
Under the settings, you can "Restore Factory Defaults", you might try that.

I assume that if it thinks your not on the actual road, that it would try to recalculate.
I know on may car (a different system), you can recalibrate the unit so it shows the car on the road. So far I don't see that in the manual.

I have the same system, so I am interested in this (mine seems to work fine).

I have been to the Kenwood site. I tried to update last fall, due to the fact that if couldn't find Ft. Pickens in Pensacola, Fla, and it wouldn't update. I came across a forum today, which suggested perhaps a corrupted sd card. Ill give that a go this weekend. Using Google maps on the cell is a bit of a pain.

Under the settings, there is a "System Restore", which resets everything to the factory defaults.
Did you try that?
You unit should still be under warranty...I hope. Give Kenwood a call.

Another thing to try for giggles...do you have another car with GPS (or a GPS sports watch. Park the car (or sprts watch) next to the RV and get the actual GPS coordinates.
There should be a place in the Kenwood where it will display the coordinates that it sees. I wonder if they match??
