Ladder on 33aa red

Has anyone had any issues with the rear ladder hanging as low as it does on the newer Red models? I am a little nervous about how close the ladder is to the ground and am thinking of raising it by cutting 14" out of the ladder above the second step and splicing it back together, raising the bottom rung. Any thoughts or has anyone done this?

I've not worried about how low, but I have been thinking about how far out. I'm currently using an extension on the hitch as I'm not sure how tight it would get with towing a car in a hard right hand turn. Anybody with any experience with that?

No issues with ladder height, or right turns.

You'll scrape the rear of the coach before you ever scrape the ladder.

By the way, you should take your coach (and toad) to an empty parking lot, and you can have a partner watch and measure how much clearance you have on the tightest of turns.

You should also measure the tail swing, so you know how far over the rear will swing on a full lock turn. If you line up the coach tires on a parking space line, you can then have a partner mark with a cone the farthest distance the rear swings. Good to know when you get in a tight spot.
