Leaking black water plumbing

On our last night of camping at Flag City Rv Park in Lodi, CA, I caught a whiff of black water smell right before I went to bed. Thinking it was due to the bad aim of my grandson,I didn't pay much attention to it. However, the next morning I decided to check the sewer compartment to see if everything was ok. As I approached the left side of the coach I could see the results of a fluid leak on the ground. After opening the compartment door and removing the spare hoses I saw the compartment floor was wet and I was able to trace the leak to the plumbing coming from the black water tank. The leak appeared to be coming from a seam approximately 4 - 5 inches from the tank itself. Prior to leaving the park I did a thorough flush of the tank in preparation for an attempted fix when I got the coach back home. Now, having the coach at home I can see the leak was coming from an area
4 - 5 inches come the tank itself, at the seam connecting the tank outlet pipe to the elbow right before the valve. Has anyone had to fix this problem? It doesn't appear to be a complicated system. However, my concern is if the pipe coming from the tank is attached to the opening in a way that the seal might be damaged if I remove the attached plumbing for resealing. Any thoughts?

Try cleaning the outside of the seam in the area of the leak very thoroughly and applying JB Weld WaterWeld (available at Walmart and many hardware and home improvement stores). It worked for me in a similar situation.

I also fixed a neighbors tank with JB Weld. That was about 6 years ago and it's still doing fine. Be sure to clean the surface good first, I used fine sand paper then lacquer thinner.

Thanks for the info. I forget about JB Weld. I was considering some type of spray on application, but didn't want to deal with the masking, overspray, etc. I just ordered a "3 Pak" from Amazon (Silicone tape, JB Water Weld, JB Marine Epoxy).
