Lippert leveling and slide systems on 2022 Allegro Open Road

I have had every intention of ordering a 2022 Tiffin 32SA. My wife and I have fallen in love with this RV. We waited due to the problem Ford was having with the spark plug wires on the new V8. That seems to be resolved. Then Thor buys Tiffin. No sense on commenting there. I just found out today that the 2022 Open Road Allegro models will be equipped with Lippert Component leveling and slide systems. I currently have a travel trailer that has many Lippert Component parts. They are very cheaply made and if I look hard enough I can usually find the Made In China stamp on the part. They are just not made to last. Are there any Lippert component parts on any Tiffin to date? Does anyone have any experience with these systems? One of the reasons we chose Tiffin was to get away from some of the junk we have seen on cheaper RV's. Needless to say I am concerned! From what I know Tiffin has used HWH for years. If it ain't broke don't try to fix it.

Now I wonder what else may be cheapened. Is Thor behind this?
Can you tell I am upset? Red flags keep popping up!

Our last motor home was a Thor Super C with Lippert slides and levelers and we had no issues over 6 years of ownership and the D/S slide was full wall. The slides on our previous Thor were Lippert with no issues over 8 years. The rear slides on our Phaeton are Lippert based but haven't owned it long enough to comment on Tiffin's implementation.

Not sure Thor is overly involved in Tiffin's decisions yet.

Hope this helps!
Sam

Don’t think you can buy any brand RV that doesn’t have something branded by Lippert on it.

I would speculate that this is going to be the general trend of Thor ownership in changing to volume parts suppliers. Not sure, but I think LCI owns Schwintek already? for the bedroome slides on my '16 Phaeton.

Schwintek slide hardware is LCI. They aren't bad but there are some quirks if you don't slide them all the way out or back in completely without stopping in the process.

LCI gets bad press due to being mass-market but most of their stuff is pretty good.

Your "Quickie" steps are also LCI and quite reliable.

I could do without LCI frameless windows and some of their interior furnishings so hopefully, Thor won't push Tiffin in that direction.
