Location of DEF filter on 2014 Allegro Bus?

I thought it would be easy to find, but I'm not seeing it on the tank or between the tank & the trans (where I read it is on the 2011 Bus).

This is on the 2014 Allegro Bus 37AP. 450hp, ISL, side radiator.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Do you have 200,000 miles on your coach? As per the Cummins manual:
Q. Is any maintenance required on the DEF Dosing Unit Filter?
A.The DEF Dosing Unit Filter will need to be replaced about every 200k miles as part of routine
maintenance

Cummins changed that schedule to 2 years or 200k.

I think I found it. On the DS.

That was it. I foolishly thought since the DEF tank & muffler are on the PS, the filter would be on the same side.

My filter looked quite clean. I've read where some said their filter was black.

Where on the DS is that located???

Very close to the air dryer behind the rear axle. Just a little further back and toward the center.



A little challenging to get the old filter to come out, but ultimately the little plastic tool they give you with the new filter works.

I have a 2012 red with the same Bosch def system. I just had to replace the Def filter. The code that set was 4364-18 catalyst conversion efficiency below normal. I looked up the diagnostics and the first thing to check is the doseing valve so I cleaned it and the opening it sprays into. Then I decided to check the filter. It was plugged! I could not even blow air through it. The original filter was a fine mesh nylon screen type. The replacement is a pleated paper filter. I can see how the replacement filter could last 100k miles but the genuine one did not.
