Main awning won't retract all the way
On our bus we have two carefree awnings that span the passenger side of the coach. The one in the front is having issues. It will open fine but when it closes on the front part of it will fully retract and the left hangs out. Was on the roof and didn't see any obvious issues, thought maybe a branch got in there, but nothing I could see. Anyone gone through this with some advice for a Newbie. Thanks in advance
One other thing about the awning. Sometimes the remote or the wall switch will not seem to work. Not sure if it's related. The wife will turn off and on the wall switch and it does seem to work after that.

If you wait a minute or two does it finish closing?

No, it stops like its complete. Theres nothing blocking it, I can push on it with a pole but it won't stay in. Almost like it's out of alignment.

Re-reading your original post it appears one side rolls up qicker than the other. The material stretched or you definetly have an alignment issue. Make sure you are not trying to roll it up with a light cord inside or anything else.

There should be a travel adjustment on the motor. The fabric will stretch and the motor doesn't pull it in all the way. Adjusting the travel on the motor will pull it in a little farther.

Lt Dan, thanks for the message. Could you tell me how to do this or point me in the right direction?

Before you do that,,,,, roll the awning all the way out. Then make sure the awning fabric is centered on the roller. There should be equal distance from the end of the roller, to the fabric on both sides. Sometimes the wind will slide the fabric in the track.
If that is correct, eye ball the top. Again equal distance from each end.
Good luck!

I'm not sure on your model of awning, but on my Carefree there are two allen adjustment screws on the motor end. One is for travel out and the other travel in. You can do a search for your model awning and find the manual for it.
