Many questions on 2016 Phaeton 40QBH
Just into a new-to-us Phaeton as above...and just full of questions. First minor one: there are two bundled wires hanging below the driver side dash--one is grey and assume to be a CB cable. the other one is blue and has a 4-pin clip female end on it--what is it for?
Thanks,
Joe

It kind of depends on what the end looks like. If it's flat, black and about 1/4"x1" then it's a connector for the Spyder multiplex system. If it's larger and square, then it's a connector for a trailer brake controller. If the gray cable has a screw on antenna connector on the end, then yes it is the CB radio antenna.

Thank you. I didn't think a '16 would be setup for the Spyder? It is flat, black and has a 4-pin female connector.

The Spyder control has been on the Phaeton for quite a while. Tiffin just keeps upping what it controls as the years go by.

Well, guess my next question is to find out some info on the Spyder system--seems it is a tablet/panel to control everything in the coach? Ours does not have this, it is an option at build?
EDIT:
I spent a lot of time on this and the TiffinRVNetwork before purchasing this coach, but apparently not much of my research stuck...the Spyder system is the multiple control panels located thru out the coach?
Took me several years to get comfortable with the Suites, guess I'll just read more and ask questions...

I want to say Spyder has been in Phaetons since at least 2014 (it was on the Bus & Zephyr earlier). There was something called a CoachProxy where you could use a tablet to interface with the Spyder. I don't think that's available anymore. Maybe that's what that one wire is for.
Lt.Dan will probably be along shortly to give us the scoop on that.

I found info on CoachProxy - looks like they won't be around. https://coachproxy.com/
Although they state they were used with 2015-2019 Tiffin's. I haven't looked for such a connector on ours so I may have presumed incorrectly in my earlier reply about not having a connection for it.

Here is a picture of a Spyder connector. It’s small.
You can go to Spyder controls, user is Tiffin, password is motorhomes, you can find the manual for your coach.
