Model Comparison Info

We are researching our next RV and have it narrowed down to 2 brands. Tiffin and Entegra. My question is which models are comparable?

Insignia (new for '17) = Tiffin ???
Aspire = ???
Anthem = ???
Cornerstone = ???

Not bashing either brand as they both are a quality product, but the Entegra line seems to offer more items as standard where in the Tiffin line they are optional upgrades.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Forget the "options" nickle-n-dime game. That's not the way to compair! Look at the final out-the-door cost after vigorous negotiations. You can get lost rabbit chasing figures & still not have a firm grip on the better deal. Crafty negotiation will land you surprising discounted off MSRP just as a matter of timing and dealer resolve.

IMHO: You will find Tiffin has an edge in floorplan, livability, massive storage and value-per dollar; while the Entegra have powertain, thermal R-value and structural appointments second to none. The long accepted advice is to first, find the Floorplan than suits; prioritize your added features before you even begin to address the "cost" factor. The final dollar amount is a resultant and not the instigator of brand searching. You are looking at an 2017 and once you have the features-and-plan that you can truly see yourselves living in...then you go-to-the-negotiation phase.

If it was me, I would find two opposing floorplans, decked-out with my wish list and then do a mass request-for quotation to dealerships that have owner-recommended consumer-friendly dealings.

on edit: Also the Aspire more closely aligns with the Phaeton, whereas the Anthem is close in price point, once both are discounted, to the Allegro Bus.

Thanks for the information.

Just doing my leg work for now. It'll most likely be beyond the 2017 model year when we make the purchase.

Oh, and for what it's worth, we are full timing it now and will continue to do so in our next coach. So, livability is a big plus, not just the bling factor.

Pretty much agree. There are more floorplan options with the Tiffin products. We had a Phaeton and it was a good coach. The Anthem was an upgrade and a comparably equipped Bus was more money. I don't think there is a comparable product for the Cornerstone. Tiffin needs to up the game for the Zephyr.

Entegra's warranty is Bumper to Bumper. If the fridge goes out it is still covered by Entegra after the mfr warranty.

I do think that options matter. One reason that Entegra has such good value is that they have very few options so manufacturing is simpler. So many of the items that are optional on Newmars or Tiffins are standard. If the standard plans and the floorplans work for you then you are well advised to study the offerings.

Bob is terrific and his love/support for his customers is appropriately legendary. We had a hard time leaving, but we are getting the same type of family-style support from Entegra.

Entegra has dramatically upgraded all their offerings for 2017

Just our experience - yours may differ.

Plus we don't have to go to Red Bay!!
