Motorhome Driving Control

I have a 2014 Tiffin Allegro Red 38 QRS. In order to improve handling I just added the Blue Ox Tru Center. It seems to have improved front end control during calm wind conditions & with passing trucks. With windy conditions (15 - 20 mph) it still is driving with out relaxing. Is there anything else that I could add ? I had Safe-Tee devices on my previuos Coachman Encounter & it seemed to improve the handling. I have read about anti sway bars & I am interested in others experiences. Thanks

Have you verified correct tire pressure for the weight you are carrying? Too much tire pressure will adversely affect handling.

Driving a motorhome in windy conditions can not be described as a relaxing driving enviroment. You are driving a giant sail and some movement can be expected.

Some random thoughts: Check your weights and adjust your tire pressures accordingly. Slow down when it is really windy. Have Freightliner check your ride heights. Use your TruCenter to ease the pressure on the steering wheel.

I don't know what chassis you have but a tru control will certainly help in windy conditions. We have that on ours and had one on our previous coach as well....certainly helps that's for sure. As far as reducing additional sway, good suggestions have been made. On our Freightliner chassis, there is a trac bar mounted at the rear, if your coach does not have one, that might help as well. But even the best of them will get pushed around if the wind is heavy or gusting and hits you just right. I think the only ones that have very little wind interaction are the tag axle coaches...
