Motorhome Mattress Replacement

In our '19 RED 33AA, we have a king, memory foam mattress.

I am looking to upgrade the current mattress to a more firm memory foam mattress. Since weight is such a critical issue on the bed slide, does anyone know how much the current mattress weighs? And, has anyone replaced their original mattress with one that they really like? If so, please share information on sources.

I added a 3" foam topper to my sucky rv mattress. It is a wonderful bed now. It is heavier, obviously, but the gas struts just barely hold the mattress up when I access the under-bed storage, so I think I'm good. The bed slide works ok, but I think they'd be designed to carry the weight of the under-bed storage, so the topper isn't anything outside the envelope.

We use the 100% natural latex mattress toppers from Sleep on Latex! They come in soft, medium, or firm.

Have a look for this store at Amazon:

DynastyMattress New! 14.5-Inch CoolBreeze Plush Gel Memory Foam Mattress (King)

It's only an example. We got our mattress from them in 2018. It was a real good deal! Since this time sleeping like a King...!

Seriously consider Latex instead of Memory foam, it is so much better, as to where to buy check out (the sale never ends), (not a fancy web page, but good prices, they do custom sizes, contact them for a quote, 20-30% off sales are common), as well as Sleep on Latex listed above.

I have a 2019 medium firmness memory foam king that I will give you if you are close to Washington state. I replaced this with a firm memory foam from American Dreams on eBay.

I put this in ours

Way to firm. I had to add a 3 inch memory foam topper.

It's so much better now.

Kings Down, I had a memory foam in my new Allegro and hated it. I went to a local beading store and they came out and measured my mattress dimensions and being different from standerd sizes they had me made a custom size that we love.

Depends on what type mattress you like. We like memory foam and replaced ours with one from Mattress Insider. Foam in old mattress had worn out and started to crack.

New matteress

I to used the mattress insider and I bought a 8 inch mattress with a 2 inch foam topper along with the sheets and the pad that goes on top of it and it has been the best bed Iíve slept on for a long time, that includes my new sleep number bed. There guarantee is that you have 90 days to decide if you like it, if not they tell you to donate it an they will refund all your $$$
One final note, cause all matteress are supposed to breath on the bottom, if they dont have circulaion it will mold. So i also bought the breathable material that goes between the bed an the plywood. Well worth the $$$
