Need Dash a/c parts help
We have 2007 Allegro Bus on the Freightliner Chassis. The repair shop said they need several parts to do the repair. Drier - part # 1411715 and the Check valve part # 17-46323. The shop claims this is on national back-order? I do not know what company these number go to.
The problem is - I don't have any additional info to cross reference those numbers to different brands. Knowing Freightliner and motorhomes - there will be an automotive equivalent that is likely available.
The one check I could find is the the drier might go to a 1999-2005 Miata ??
Who knows. Anyway - would GREATLY appreciate if some one has cross reference or other numbers so I can get my RV fixed.

Go to a Napa store. They have great cross reference info. They will probably need to know the AC comperssor make & model.

thanks garykk. The shop said their issue was in finding the Check Valve. That (according to them) must be replaced also. Apparently that is where the obvious leak was.

I hate to admit how naive I am. I look at the system in the generator bay and have no idea what I am looking at. But, I am humble enough to admit my faults. Local truck shop called the part - Inline Check Valve and listed part # 17-46323. They said no one in the country has that part on-hand and I should try to find it myself. I have been unable to locate any cross reference for that part number. Apparently that is a must-have to complete the repair.
Are these pictures any help?

I don't see a check valve in either picture. I can't tell you where it is, since oit could be anywhere in the ac lines. No need to apologize because a lot of us wouldn't things you are well educated in.

Doing a google search for ac check valve, brings up two different scenarios. The first shows the Schrader valves in the two lines for hooking the gauges to. The second shows a check valve in the refrigeration liquid line. A better explanation from the truck shop would help but they may not be willing to do that.

After way to much time on searching and a trip to Napa, i am inclined to think the local truck shop gave me an incorrect or incomplete check valve part number. I really appreciate all the help the forum has tried to provide.

Liquid driers are a commodity, you just need the correct connections.
A check valve does not usually fail unless this is part of a broad repair that is standard in the auto world.

It wasn't an expansion valve, rather than a check valve was it?

I have a 2007 Phaeton on the Freightliner chassis last year I needed a Check valve part, I was told the part was no longer being made & very hard to find...but the Bob Tiffin shop in Red Bay found one & fixed my A/C, call them and ask for Don in the oil change shop.

Thanks to all for your help. I contacted Tiffin and got the answer. When Freightliner builds the chassis - they pre-charge the A/C system before they send it to Tiffin or any other builder. They then install the in-line check valve to keep the refrigerant from leaking out while the coach is being built. When the coach builder is finished, they just hook the hose to the check valve and the system is instantly 'alive'. Tiffin shop says that every time they get one of these leaking - they just remove the check valve, change the dryer, recharge the system and all is good.
Who knows how many coach owners have had this problem (and paid dearly in diagnostic fees) and how many shops didn't know to just remove the valve.
Again, thank to all for your help.
