New 33AL Drawer slides

I believe I have a malfunctioning co2 / propane detector on my new 33AL but I cannot check the wiring because I cannot remove the hamper drawer. The wiring is on the floor beneath the hamper drawer. The left drawer slide will not release. I tried other drawer slides and they seem to have the same issue. I press down on the small plastic lever yet it will not release. Does anyone else have this problem and how did you solve it?

Sometimes I’ve had to use a flat blade screw driver or a pair of needle nose pliers to add extra pressure to get them to release.

Try pressing the release the opposite direction of the one you're pressing on the other side.

Yes, I have found that on some drawer slides, the left or right is opposite of the other.

Yes, one goes up, the other goes down to un-latch the slide. Sometimes a tricky operation but it will work and come free.

Drawer slides

Thanks to all. Pressing opposite directions on the tabs did the job.

Good thing to remember--these drawer slides are not side-specific, they are the same slide, just depends on which side you install them--thus the opposite release direction of the tab.
