New sound I can't identify

We live full-time in our 2013 QTH. Since we moved from our last park a new sound has popped up that I cannot pin down. It seems to originate from the bedroom closet where breaker panel is. The sound is 4 double clicks in about a second, kind of like a relay. It only seems to occur once or twice a day, and can happen with HVAC on or completely shut down. No lights flicker and power is normal (123v on both legs with no faults on EMS).

Only anomalies are we are seeing a lot of rain and we are in a slight excessive slope, so not perfectly level.

Thanks for any thoughts.

When we had this noise on our toy hauler, it was the ATS (automatic transfer switch) was starting to have issues. So, I had to replace it. Once I had the old one out and new in, I checked and the old one had some burnt contacts.

You have power shedding relays built into the 120v circuit breaker panel. It sounds like one of them may be failing.

The ATS was my first thought, but the location of the sound seems the shedding relays are more likely. I didn't even know they were there.

Are they owner replaceable and is there a test?

My relay for the electrical side of the hot water tank makes a "clicking noise". Drove me about half crazy until I figured it out.

Certainly the HWH is in this location too, but ours is an "on-demand" unit and does not make the same sounds as a traditional tank. Thank you for the input.

Well, my 2013 apparently is not equipped with the power shedding relay as it does not have the control panel that must be present for that function. However it happened again when I was standing in the bedroom and turns out it is the washing machine (Ariston Spendid). I found this quote from RV upgrade store:

"The machine is sensing an abnormality to do with the power source. The main module board is trying to reset itself thus you hear the relay clicking. The board is not liking the power it is connected to. Frequency, Voltage or Harmonics riding on the fundamental signal degrading the wave form."

My EMS is indicating power is sufficient and no errors are detected, so the next likely cause is a failing control board in the Washer. I have flipped the breaker for the time being (washer ran perfectly just yesterday for 4 hours) and see what happens when we are at a new site.

Thank you all for your help.

very interesting, thanks for the info

maybe the breaker was loose

as a throw in...when was last time you shut down all power and checked the wires for tightness at all the breakers?
when i get weird electrical showing up as "new" thats my first look .
followed by all the grounds from the main power cable to the breaker box

i had snow start showing up on the LED tv, it would come and go for no reason or set time
finally found it a few weeks ago, a loose ground on the Cable tv splitter block.
