Thank you!

Thank you for sharing. I JUST purchased my Tiffin Wayfarer and already have 2 more recalls. The hitch and now this. What is going on with Tiffin? I dont see a commitment to quality and excellence that they built their reputation on!

Don't know about the coach, but my 2018 Mercedes chassis for my Quantum has had 3 recalls by MB in 18 months. Hopefully the 2020+ chassis is less prone to recall.

Power steering return hose clamp, rear wheel speed sensors, and ???
I've only had 2 on my 2017 NCV3 chassis.
The VS30 chassis is worse for recalls.

As a sprinter owner myself (t1n pre 2006)- they are quality vans but have serious flaws. The new ones are far more complicated due to emissions standards and new tech vs my old dinosaur. I love the van and learned a ton from the sprinter source forums…the wayfarer is an awesome layout, far too pricey in my opinion. Due to what I know about the newer sprinter failures, I wouldn’t purchase one of them nor anything diesel unless you plan to have a warranty or plan to keep it for a short term period. I read about all the Mercedes dealer repair cost on those forums and it’s nothing short of bend over without lube….if you have the space your better off with the shortest open road on a Ford chassis- cost and reliability wise.

What sort of serious flaws are you referring to? Except that they can be OCCC challenged, depending on how much "stuff" the upfitter adds on top of them, I know of no serious flaws. Any more than the Ford chassis upfits.
Agree about Sprinter Source. Good forum for MB owners.
The Wayfarer has 4 layouts all resembling all the other manufacturer's layouts. Which one is awesome? They're all pricey these days if they're built on a Sprinter chassis. Some say you do get what you pay for.
The diesel related SCR/DPF/DEF systems are more complicated, but have been fairly reliable since around 2012 and up, after the initial bugs were worked out. If someone has a problem, it's usually due to lack of scheduled maintenance, or driving them like an every day driver or excessive idling, or some sort of user error. All are caveated by MB.
Maintenance costs are expensive for some things, oil changes for one, and about the same for the rest of the wear and tear items related costs of driving them. Depending on what fails, Fords are just as expensive, and just as difficult or easy to find service centres, that will touch them. I've owned both, so speaking from experience. I wouldn't go back to gas unless they could find a way to generate the same amount of power at much lower RPMs, like the 3L turbo diesel in the Sprinters. The Ford V10 (and the newer V8) is a gas guzzling noise maker under the doghouse.
In my opinion, of course.
