Ok Johnny what is behind this panel?

I have a new 2018 Phaeton 40 IH and I need to run coax cable up to the roof for a weboost cell booster antenna. I see that I have 3 of these access panels on the roof and I was curious what is behind them. I am sure someone on this forum has already revealed the mystery. Before I go disturbing a panel that is currently watertight, I thought I would ask.

Also, if you have any suggestions for routing a cable to the roof from the drivers seat over head cabinet that would be much appreciated.

I believe the white cap holds the wiring for a sat dish upgrade, can't remember the dish name.

I just ran wiring this weekend from the front passenger side cabinet (front meaning windshield then cabinet) to the roof to install my cellular antenna. I had a lot of reluctance not knowing what was where when I drilled. I bought a $35 endoscope that connects to my cell phone. I drilled a pilot hole with a step drill bit and found that I had a very clear path with the endoscope. I ended up going into the side of the front cap from the roof and down into the cabinet. I used an outdoor outlet box to attach to the cap, run the wires through, and then sealed with dicor.

It ended up being a bigger job in my mind than it actually was.

That one is for a satellite dome installation and it will have two coax cables that go back to the entertainment cabinet labeled Sat 1 and Sat 2. I was considering using that to wire a cell booster but even moving the antenna as far forward as I could it was just barely at the 25' minimum distance between the antenna and booster which I was going to put in the bedroom. I've decided to not mess with a roof mount, but put my booster antenna on a movable tripod pole and use the Tripod connection in the wet bay to connect to the booster in the bedroom.

I found the other end of the Cat6 Ethernet cable run from a cabinet above the passenger seat area for the Winegard ConnecT 1.0. This was in the middle near the tv antenna on my 2019 RED 33AA. Too bad they didn't do a very nice job protecting the end.

Personally I would not remove that cover unless you really needed to. As you can see from the previous post, it’s sealed with an abundance of sealer and if you need to remove the entire thing, it’s a tough job. When installing our Travler, it took me longer to remove, clean and recover the cables that it did to install the Travler, not to mention the cuts and scrapes I got from the jagged hole in the roof.

Thanks all, I do like Lt Dan's idea with the exception of when driving down the road we might need the booster for our cell phones. Too many options...
