I need to replace the above on my Tiffin I was looking at a winegard rayzar automatic rz-8535. The reviews aren’t really all that great Does anyone recommend an automatic antennae. Not looking for a manual version thanks

I replaced an old, non functioning Braund Concorde with the Razar and I am very pleased. Winegard claims a design flaw in units made prior to 2017 caused a high rate of failure. As for reception, I am happy with the Razar Automatic. If you go this route make sure the unit is clear from obstructions such as A/C units.

Curious. Did you do the install yourself ? My old unit had its own power supply that plugged into 110. This one expects straight 12v. According to winegard support you aren’t supposed to install an in line fuse on the feed. They also couldn’t tell me what amperage any such fuse should be. Running unprotected circuits is insane Anybody know what the amperage of the motor is, without doing trial and error ?

You must have the HD View 360 same as me. Mine was working fine and then nothing. I took the cover off and it no longer turns using the attached remote
I'll keep an eye on this thread since I really haven't been able to research a reasonable replacement yet.

I installed a Rayzar Automatic on our Allegro RED. It's an easy install after making a bracket to mount it on the legs of the old HD360. It gets its power through the coax from the Antenna/Cable splitter switch that comes with it. There's no need for a second power wire.

These low profile antennae work great in the city, but have limited reception in more rural areas. I would suggest a flag pole buddy and a quality OTA antennae on a mast if you really want to watch TV. Sure, they take a few minutes to set up, but I am much happier with the reception when we are setup in the country. An added bonus is I no longer have to deal with the OEM manufacturer and their horrible customer service.

I don’t have personally experience but when I was going to order a baystar I opted for the manual version. The product is subpar quality, requires a new unit for part replacements, low reception in rural areas and the customer service is trash (this is from majority of the reviews I’ve read) I wouldn’t go with one personally unless you want to test it out and likely be unhappy

When my 360 died, I installed the Rayzar. No complaints. Only use once in a while when we are parked where Satellite is blocked.
