Outdoor TV mount.
On my 2018 phaeton the outdoor tv is on a fixed position mount. I
Want to replace it with one that can be pulled out, swiveled and tilted. Has anyone done this? Which mount did you use?

I've looked at ours and there is very limited space between the TV and the compartment door. The only mount that might fit in the space would be one like this link. It's only 1.09" thick when collapsed.

I believe that one may work. I did a little exploring today and found that the outdoor tv can be accessed from under the kitchen sink. There will need to be some surgery done on the sheet metal plate the tv is mounted to now, but I think it is doable. I may need to get the new mount before I start cutting.

We didn't have to make any modifications. It mounted straight onto what the original one was mounted on. We did have to use longer bolts than what came with the kit.

I got it installed in my 40AH. The mounting plate made the tv stick out too far and the door could not close. so I replaced it with plywood set back a little farther.

did you have problems with the coax connector hitting the back?

Fortunately, no issues at all. We have a 2015 36LA. It might be different in some other model.
