Overhead TV Access-2018 Phaeton 37BH
Hi Folks,
I recently purchased our second RV, a lightly used 2018 Tiffin Phaeton 37BH.
While I love it thus far, I've discovered that the cab overhead TV appears to have a malfunctioning Wi-Fi module. I've tried all of the quick fixes on YouTube, but the TV always says the Wi-Fi is off, but you cannot turn it on. Tried changing the country/location, etc.
Does anyone know how to access or remove the TV without destroying the cabinet? Is there a simple way to remove the TV? I found the mounting diagram for the outside TV, but no joy for the overhead one. Thanks.

We have a 2017 Phaeton 36GH so I am not sure if it is the same installation or not. On our froward TV monitor, there is a cabinet on each side. Inside those cabinet’s there are two screws, one top and one bottom. If you remove those four screws the TV monitor and mount should slide out. Be careful. The mount can be heavy.
Happy Trails!

Like Ron said, there are screws inside the side cabinets on each side of the TV. They may be behind removable panels.

Once you get the TV out, I will be very curious what you find out about the WiFi module. I have the exact same issue with the overhead LG TV in our 2020 RED 37BA.
I have read some people found a loose wire that fixed it. Not sure if the module is available for replacement.
I am considering replacing the TV with a Samsung unit as this would also resolve the issue with the remote control sometimes impacting this TV when intended to control the televator TV. (Plus the Samsung will work better with screen sharing with our Android devices).

This bugs the cr@p out of me. My fix is to just unplug the front TV until I need it.

Age old LG problem many posts and utubes about this. No parts needed just straightening and securing wires. Requires removal of tv back cover.

Reread your post three times a trying to understand the issue. Are you trying to access a rv park WiFi to power a fire stick? You can watch the front tv from the antenna, park cable, or your satellite if you subscribe. None require WiFi.

John,
I'll let you know what I find, assuming I can get it out this weekend. I saw a decent YouTube video that explains that if all else fails it is generally the Wi-Fi module, and that you can buy a new one, and take the back off the tv and replace it relatively inexpensively. I am hoping it is just a cable, but doubt it.
Warhorse,
We use a bunch of streaming services with our Star Link, and use the Wi-Fi connection in the TV to connect to the internet. The overhead is the only one of the four TV's where the Wi-Fi won't turn on. I'm either going to replace the module or TV based on cost. I was just asking about how to get access to the TVs connections or how to get the TV out.

Mike,
Tried that too. Unplugging mine, doesn't fix it.

I located a photo of the screws holding the front TV. There is a thin plywood panel covering the access hole and there are two screws on each side.

I had the exact same problem on my TV in our 37BH. I thought about removing the TV as well when I read a post that said if you do a reset on the tV back to its original settings the problem would be fixed. I did that and it now works. Go to settings and you will see how to do a reset. I am not in the motorhome or I would attach some photos. It wasn't very difficult to find the place to do that.

Using the remote
Turn on the TV
Press the Settings button on the remote
Select All Settings
Select General
Select Reset to Initial settings
Confirm Reset to Initial settings

Thanks for the info.
I have tried that and no luck. Probably is the WiFi module in my case.
