Pantry slide Latch
I have seen several people have the pantry open while driving causing damage to the doors and handles. Curious if anyone has come up with an elegant solution. I am considering a security chain typically used for a door that would only be latched while on the move but would be interested in other solutions that doesn’t hack up the cabinets.

We had our pantry door open twice when traveling, including once after repair at Red Bay as part of our one year warranty visit to get our list of items needing repair corrected. The first time it opened it caused damage to the wall opposite the pantry and the wall needed to be repaired.
So, after it opened the second time subsequent to the Red Bay visit, we opted to buy a Master Lock door security bar at Home Depot. We place the V portion of the bar that normally goes under the door knob under the pantry handle, with an old towel to protect the wood. We then brace the other end on the floor. It's adjustable so you can make it snug. The pantry door isn't going to move with this brace.
After use you can easily store this under the bed or coach.
We've had no "flying pantry door" issues since using the bar.

I don't think that Cam lock was installed by Tiffin and was probably installed by the previous owner. If you feel under the counter top, there should be a pull handle for the latch behind the pull out. That is a great idea that I'll have to keep in mind if I ever have problems with either one of my pull outs.

LT Dan - Pretty sure the counter extension latch was a Tiffin installed item. Attached is a picture from the 2014 Phaeton brochure. The latch is in the picture. Tried to find the latch on the Tiffin parts website but it was not listed.

Hi - We had a '13 Phaeton and the pull out extension for the counter top had that type lock. Stock Tiffin for that period.

When we were shopping for our Phaeton, the 13’s and 14’s had the twist latch on the pull out counter. Our 15 has a release handle under the counter.

We had the same twist latch on our 2011 Bus. We accidentally closed the pullout with the latch in the locked position!
We called Tiffin. They sent us the Southco latch posted in the previous photo.
Save yourself some shipping charges and purchase from Amazon
