Patio Awning Motor is good but button will not work
We had what appears to be a low voltage situation while staying at an RV park in AZ, so I went out to the power pedestal and turned the power off, waited a few moments and turned it back on and it seemed to be ok. Except the slides didn't work (we have over-ride for that) a couple days later the wind was blowing hard and wanted to bring the awning in but did not work. A friend came over and we disconnected the motor wires from the pushbutton, applied power to it and got it in. Spent the night halfway home at a nice park, and everything worked except the awning. After getting home I checked everything I could think of and called Tiffin the technician asked me a few things and a couple things to look for, which I did but with no solution. Does anyone have any solutions that I could try? Thanks for the help.

Can you share the couple things you went over with the Tech on the phone?

Do you have the Spyder system? If you do try a reset.
Is your awning operated on 12 volt or AC?

The tech didn't have an answer, I checked the connections in the box in my bedroom closet with no good result.

Bypassing the switch, applying 12V and it worked, leads me to believe there is a fuse in play with the switch. Have you looked for a popped fuse? Replace the current one?

Don't know what rv you have, so that makes it a bit difficult. On a general basis, it sounds like batteries are/were low. Bad things happen to your rv with low or high voltage. You could have a problem with your awning switch but not sure.
First. I have a Progressive Industries EMS , so there is no low voltage going to my rv. It will shut power off to my coach before that happens.
Next, some of us don't like this part but, I start my rv engine when moving my slide outs in and out. I don't move my slides unless the engine is running.
My rv manual also advises me to run the engine during slide operation.
My awning is 12 volt and if the batteries are not charged , things don't work properly.
You probably did but.......Did you check your batteries ? How old are your batteries? Will they hold a proper charge?

Patio Awning Motor is good but button will not work
If there is a fuse somewhere I can't find it, I did press all of the buttons on the spyder control panel. The thing is the light on pushbutton for the awning is lite.
During all of this the batteries are charged, and I was running the engine and everything else seem to work, I didn't check every item, but the door awning worked. I'm wondering if just the pushbutton for the big awning is not working, even if it is lite up?

Turn off 12v to the coach. You should have a battery disconnect somewhere close to your house batteries.

I turn off all power when in storage and I did all my checking after I turned on all power and started the engine and had the Inverter on as well.

We had a similar problem on our '22 RED340. When in Red Bay in 2023 we got great warranty service from Girard and the culprit was the Girard hardwired awning switch in the cabinet above the driver's seat. The tech had to try 2 new switches before getting it to work saying that the switches are frequently faulty.

on my 37BH there is a fuse panel in the compartment just in front of the driver side front wheel. There is a “pop” fuse for the awning on that panel and mine has tripped a couple of times. I haven’t found why it pops, but resetting gets the awning working.
