Hi All,
We are looking at 2010 to 2013 Phaeton 40 QBH and/or QTH. Love the extra half bath but definitely seems that you loose some space in the living and bedroom areas. Do any of you current owners feel the space difference? Also any issues with those model years?

We haven't noticed any loss of USABLE space in our 40QBH. The half bath is nice because while underway the bathroom can still be used as needed.

As to problems, research the "Tiffin BIG 3" problem areas for all Tiffin coaches of this time frame. These problems were corrected in production by mid 2012. If you are looking at an earlier production model get the vin and call Tiffin to see if the repairs were ever done. Most owners had them done since Tiffin covered the repairs for 8 years from date of sale.

Have a 16QBH for last 2+ years. The half bath works well for traveling, and I get my stuff in the half and she gets the full bath in the rear when stopped. I can't say anything about the other since we never considered one. Less space? Don't know, haven't had the single bath unit. We are full-time for 2+ years.
In either case, do research on the Big Three mentioned above, expensive if not done already.

We love our 40QBH. We like having level access around the bed, not having to deal with a step like the QTH. Our only small gripe is that we have the king bed option which makes it a little snug each side of the bed getting in and out.

I like the extra space in our QTH compared to a friend’s QBH. Never felt the need for the extra bathroom. The split bath layout in the QTH works well for us.

We have a year 10 QTH, never been a problem sharing it with my bride.

I have had a problem sharing it with my GSD; he often races me back to drink from the toilet; same thing at home w/ two toilets to choose from.

I have a 2010 QTH and no complaints about the floorplan. I can use the bathroom without opening any slides and the split bath works great for us. Plenty of space to get into the bed with slides closed as well.

I've never seen a QBH, so can't comment on those.
