I also contacted a local dealer and requested a price match but they were no where close.
Get your quotes and see if any dealers in your area can match or come close.
As mentioned, I decided that driving to Memphis from NM was well worth the thousands in savings.
Great information and dovetails with what others are saying. Appreciate you responding to me.

As far as after purchase support I personally don't rely on dealers. Tiffin has setup some independent factory authorized service centers across the country that can handle warranty repairs. According to you profile you're located in the Phoenix area. It just so happens you have a ceertified shop in Apache Junction, East Valley RV Specialists We have used them in the past and received excellent service.
I didn't see your 1st sentence when I responded back the 1st time, so if I wasn't able to edit quick enough I apologize. BUT-the added service information is incredibly valuable and I appreciate. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
No problem. Now I'm going to throw something else at you that I, and many others on another Tiffin dedicated forum, have experienced when buying a new Tiffin coach.....their factory quality control for the most part is extremely lacking.

Should you decide to purchase from one of the three dealers mentioned, I would highly recommend you also schedule a continuing trip into Red Bay for the following reasons:

1. They have techs there that know just about every inch of every coach built, and the ones that don't can find someone in the building that does. The combined wealth of knowledge is incredible.

2. Any and all parts that might be necessary are right there. Even as good as East Valley is they would still have to wait for parts, which of course mean a wait for you for another appointment.

3. They will do a thorough inspection of your coach which could mean a chassis or running gear adjustment or repair. They have mechanical bays that do nothing but take care of those types of issues.

4. If if you look closely at your coach when you pick it up you may find (probably) some paint related issues (fish eye, nubs, over-spray, etc). Red Bay will take care of these issues until you're happy no matter how many attempts it takes them to make it right.

Again, I have to say THANKS. I didnt even think about that but it makes really good sense.

I am in the process of purchasing a 40IH (special order). I live in NM and originally was going to purchase from out of state. First, purchasing in CA and taking it home to NM was a totally tax disaster. A total non starter. Next I tried AZ. The STATE of AZ has reciprocity with NM from a sales tax perspective. They collect the NM state sales tax (4.5% on vehicles) but do not charge you with the AZ state sales tax. But.... the Arizona County and City taxes are extracted from you at the time of the sale AND they are not refundable once you get back to NM. Therefore I would have had to pay 1.8% tax on the purchase price (sales price minus trade in value) plus the 4.5% NM sales tax. In addition I would have had to pick up the motorhome at the dealer AZ and drive it back to NM (no such thing as courtesy delivery at a NM dealer). The negotiations at the AZ dealer took two long days, with the usual sales BS, calling in the manager, "I have to talk with the dealership owner", etc., etc. In the end I went back to NM, went into the Tiffin dealer, dealt directly with the owners son, and had a signed deal in 20 minutes, at a much better price than AZ dealer. So what is my point? Out of state dealers can be very good but you have to look at the tax implications, the distance to and from the dealership, and the logistics of dealing with someone remote to your location. Could I have gotten a few thousand more off the total deal by going to one of the big three or four? Probably. Was it worth my time and effort to deal with travel, taxes, registration, waiting around at the dealership location to fix the PDI issues, etc.? No, it was not. I got a good deal locally, with a dealership I trust and have a relationship with, who I know will stand behind the product and get any/all issues resolved quickly.
Just my two cents.
