Phaeton electrical

Hi folks,

Been a while since I’ve been here but hope all is well
I am installing a dual Victron inverter system and I would really like to have the electrical system wiring diagram for this 2007 40QSH. Tiffin says they don’t have one for this model and I have pretty much searched high and low for one.
[moderator edit]

Thanks in advance

Bill

How do you like your CAT C7. I love ours. Too bad Cat engines arent more popular in RV's. In my opinion they are the better diesel. I have worked on cummins and pretty much concluded they are junk. And their customer service matches the engine. Its all in the contracting as far as what engine goes in and I dont have to worry about DEF.

Electrical drawings

Orionfe,

I have been ostracized by the leaders of IRV2 for my past " Complaints
" about the lack of VITAL DOCUMENTATION for our expensive motorhomes, Electrical, plumbing, Slideouts, ect. I will tell you that Tiffin does have a book of some basic electrical circuits on various models. but it is very scanty
and incomplete. If I were you, depending on your electrical competence, I would not replace this unless it is a direct wire for wire replacement. Otherwise locate a company that has Tiffin RV Electrical knowledge, or you will have problems. I wish I could offer more help. Take photos, trace out circuitry accurately, and get competent assistance. Call the manufacturer of your new Inverter, speak to the TECHNICAL SUPPORT PEOPLE, NOT SALES, and call Tiffin and get hold of their electrical department, they will answer specific questions, but first, find out as much as you can BEFORE CALLING THEM.

Thanks for your comments. I agree and actually its H.S. that diagrams of some sort arent more readily available especially by the manufacturer. Even if it does cost a few bucks. Freightliner has decent manuals why not the house builders.
Actually what I ended up doing is I hand traced a bunch of wires and made my own wiring diagrams based on what I hand traced and what AZ wind & sun designed. Between the two, the integration went flawlessy. BUT I do have a pretty extensive electrical background, on aircraft that is. I did get some help from tech support for the programming of the gx device. They are very experienced and sharp folks.
After completing the victron system install, I will tell you its not for the faint of heart. If somebody is not not knowledgable and have some electrical experience...dont even try it.
In the spring I'll be installing 1750W of solar panels and the new RF mogul dish all of which will be installed onto strut channel used as sliding tracks. Also designed and made support struts for panel tilting...a lot of work, but its going for a good cause.
