Phaeton Tank Monitoring

We have a 2022 Phaeton 40IH. The monitoring system is completely off all the time with the exception of the propane tank. Is there any way to calibrate/adjust these sensors. The Black is about 60% off, the Gray about 40% off and the Fresh about 30% off based on my calculations of filling up and dumping times.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

If I could invent a tank monitoring system that worked...

..I'd be rich.

So this is a very common issue. It could be the placement of the sensors. It could also be junk accumulated on the insides of your tanks.

I would start by trying to clean the insides first as any little residue clinging to the sides of the tanks will throw off the sensors. I had a tech show me this when I was at Red Bay.

He threw in a bottle on Pinealen with a quarter tank of water and I circled the campground a couple times and the gronk got cleaned out and my sensors worked better, not perfect but much better.

He then moved the sensors around a bit and I am now satisfied that they are close. I am certain they will never be perfect.

The tanks are completely clean. Our sensors as I understand are fixed outside the tank.

Some things just don't change. I gave up on the monitor system on my 2019 Phaeton and installed a SeeLevel system. Always works, always accurate.

Did the same thing on the ‘20 Phaeton we had. Easy install because all the tanks are accessible without taking a bunch of stuff apart. I bought their Bluetooth version and installed the controller in the wet bay. No trying to snake wires up through the walls and can see tank levels in the coach on my phone.

See level system works great! My Renegade came from the factory with that system, one of the reasons I bought it.

Have you interfaced it with the Spyder system or left it independent?

Heck, my 2013 Open Road 31SA indicators quit right after the warranty expired!
Just watch how much water we use and empty weekly.
Considered the See level, just haven’t got around to it.

I chose to keep the systems separate since integrating had some issues. Left the propane on Spyder only.

I put the See Level system in my 2011 Phaeton - worked great. It came standard in my bus - works great. In the bus they put the monitor panel in the wet bay and tied it into the spyder system inside. In my Phaeton, I put the monitor inside and, if I were doing it over, I would have gotten the dual monitor unit to be able to see levels both inside and out.

In over 25 years of RVing, the See Level is the best system I've used. I installed the Bluetooth version on the Breeze we used to own. Never a problem, in the couple of years we owned it.

Sold the 2017 Breeze as the tank monitoring system ended up being the most reliable things about the coach. Sorry, had to mention it. Still not sure if 2017 was the year from Hell for Tiffin.

Great info!

This is all great info from all of you - I'm just observing from the sidelines, but I have had questions about the accuracy of the system in my 2022 33BR, and I really wanted to look into options. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

This is the type of setup I have been thinking about. I just need to figure out which tanks are which, looking at the drain lines and the gate valves, the black and grey seem obvious. I just need to determine where the fresh water tank is located.
