I know there are so may variables that make this question impossible to pin point. and Ive read several ads claiming unbelievable boasts. but here it goes.... I am pretty sure I will be purchaseing a '99 37' allegro bus with a 330 hp CAT engine and a 6 speed Alison tranny. ....Bare bone empty what kinda fuel milage might I be able to get? .. I am really sorry to even put this question out there.

I have a 2005 Gulfstream 36' cat 350 C7 7.5 mpg & almost always towing enclosed trailer, I do believe you'll have an older version of the C7, 3206? Or something like that, the numbers escape me right now, oh, I do love the Mp8 tho

I would expect 7-8 unloaded or with a light load.

Thanks thats what I was figuring. these people putting 14 mpg stuff is crazy. I drive a concrete truck for a living and working all day we get 2.5 to 3.5 I hoped not working with THAT big of loads it would get more but wondered about how much

When you get a chance , to look at the engine valve cover I believe you'll find a decal giving your engine type and power rating .
This should confirm that you have a 3126B Cat engine . the 330 HP version .
These two files should help you understand the fuel system and engine .
Also info from Cat , on getting the best fuel economy out of your RV.
Safe travels.

This has been an oft ad,Ed question. It seem the average mpg comes in between 6.5 and 8. There are a few exceptions but not many.

My best guess is your engine is 3126B 275 or 300 horse not a 330 horse and it will get between 7 and 10 mpg depending on the load, road conditions ,and how fast you drive.Ive had two of those cats and they are good engines .
