Plug what's it go to

I'm interested in installing a Scan II gauge in my motor home. While looking for the OBD II plug I found a 4 wire with a female plug just laying there (under dash) and not plugged into anything. One side has Delphi and >Pa66< on it, the other side has A B C D on it Any one have a idea what its for and where it goes?
Thanks

It might be for a trailer brake controller.

plug

You could be right!! I did remove some kind of brake controller, although I did not remove that plug, it was already pulled out. But that makes sense. I only got one reply from my question, but it was a good reply, thanks for taking the time to reply. I guess if I asked a real serious question like should I use blue toilet paper in my orange bathroom I would have gotten a ton or replies......go figure!

You're very welcome. I'm actually surprised you haven't received at least three or four replies pretty much stating the same thing I said.

A photo of the plug might elicit more responses

As to the OBDII, it depends on which chassis you have. Workhorse, it will be on the left of the steering column usually taped up into a bundle of wiring under the dash. Ford, it will be attached to the right side of the steering column up under the dash. In both cases you are looking for a black plug about 1"x 2" with a wiring harness connected that may be capped or open.

You can go to the scan gauge web site, they have a picture of the two types of plugs that the gauge uses. Then compare against what you found then you will know for sure if it will work with the plug you found.
