Power Control System Central Monitor Panel Issues

My Power Control System Central Monitor Panel is showing a power draw of 18 amps for the rear A/C. A/C is not running and I tried flipping off the breaker but it reads the same even with the breaker off.

I shut power pedestal on and off, no change. I ran the rear A/C, no change running or off. I ran the front A/C, no amperage indicated while running.

Is there a reset for this system? I don’t remember seeing that value before for the rear A/C.

Your system ID's what's running, OR amp draw on each leg.
Never seen one that monitors each device

If on 30 amp power, there is only one leg to monitor.

Do you have any other breakers off in the main panel ?

They use random breakers to supply power to the system. If one is off it gets wonkie.

All breakers are on. Just concerned it might start shedding loads unnecessarily if it thinks the rear A/C is drawing 18 amps.

Is your block heater turned on? It could be on the same circuit.

No, not on. Think I may call the company today. This may be just operator misunderstanding, the coach is new to us and much diff than our prior Newmar gasser.

PCS has a memory

On my PCS it stores and remembers the last amp draw when the device was running. I think it uses this to determine when to "unshed" a load after it has been shed. The back A/C is usually at the top of the list for which device to shed first. My PCS shows what this amp draw WAS, not what it is drawing NOW. So, it doesn't change much. I will try to get a pic next time I'm at the RV.

Thanks for the information. I did read about the storage of the last value, however the rest of my stored values are zero so not sure how to interpret them.

Shed process

I'm sorry I really can't remember exactly how this works. I think the AMPs last used are stored/updated during the shed process. So, for those loads that have never been shed, they will say 0 AMPs. Hope this helps.

Thanks, that may just be the piece of information I needed and would make sense. I have had several other issues recently so the Power Panel kind of went to the back burner. Tough when you get a new to you coach, you slowly find all the little issues the prior owner never fixed [emoji1]
