Radio problems - removing dash access panel?

My in dash radio quit working last week. I can't seem to find the fuse for this thing so I consulted the manual as a last resort. It refers to the fuse being behind the dash access panel. I am guessing it's the weird oval shaped thing on the dash. I poked around at it with my ancient crutchfield trim tool but can't figure out how this thing comes out. The last thing I want to do is bust a clip. Any suggestions before I bust out the long flat screwdriver and butter knife?

I figured it out. There is a circle of velcro on the four corners but there was a little dab of silicone or something in the middle of the panel on the front and rear. I slid a plastic wedge in there just enough to break it loose. Reseated the wiring harness and the radio powered right up!
