Rear Closet lights not working

As you can see from my "steps not working" post, getting the rig out of storage has been challenging. I later discovered my washer/dryer GFI was tripped and the rear closet lights didn't come on.

I un-screwed the light cover (x4) and tested for voltage with the switch on and got nothing. So I carefully popped off the switch and the whole thing fell in my hand. Would you believe the switch is wireless? I had no idea. Put in a new CR2032 and all is well.

Hope this helps....Mike

Yes, sir! The new touchpads for the slide-outs and certain light circuits — such as the rear closet and, in some models, the bedroom — are powered by a coin cell battery (CR2032). You’ll also find a switch just inside the pocket door on the left-hand side.

If you press the buttons for the lights or the slide-out controls (specifically for the front two hydraulic slides), you should see a green LED indicator light up. If the LED does not illuminate when you press the pad, it’s likely that the battery needs to be replaced.

If you’re in a bind, you can temporarily swap the battery from another working touchpad to power the slide-out or light. This will give you a quick solution until you can purchase a new battery.
