Red Bay questions
I’m not sure this is in the right spot, I spent some time searching but the search engine didn’t come up with anything.
We are a day or two out of Red Bay to have some warranty work done. I know the place is flooded with snowbirds like us right now. Just wondering if any of the campgrounds in town take reservations, or do we just get checked in with Tiffin and they will tell us what to do next. Assuming we have any choice in the matter, is any one campground better than the others? Do people hop from one to the other as spots open up?
Sounds like we should be prepared to sit and wait for awhile.
Thanks for any info, first hand or otherwise.

Just spent 5 days in Red Bay. At the service center area which has electric and water hook-up NO SEWER $25 a night, lots of fun talking to other owners. There is another camp ground but did not stay there. While at service center we took the tour but not the paint shop tour (wish we did after we left)
The GPS took us 1 mile or two into Mississippi before looping us around into Red Bay. This is the BEST way. LOL

Our favorite is the Red Bay RV Park on the edge of town. The sites are wide and it's usually not crowded. You can call Karen the day before at 256-668-0526 and she will save a spot if one is available. Same price as the service center and it's full hookups with sewer.

Are you saying that you have to pay to stay in a slot at the service center while you're coach is being worked on? ...or do I misunderstand that?

It was my understanding that the service center was free only for warranty work, but I am often wrong according to the DW. I should have said same price as the other parks in town.

Dan, don't want to lead to an argument with your better half, but you're actually correct. Service center campground is only no charge for warranty work, otherwise it's $25 per day.

This is a great forum but if you want questions directly regarding Tiffin Motorhomes their is another forum called Tiffin Owners Forum. It is not owned/run/moderated by Tiffin but by the owners.

Dan & Bob, thanks for the clarification.
I wasn't necessarily doubting you, Dan, but I asked because it seemed strange to me that the Tiffin factory shop would charge people to stay in the lot, when the reason you're there is to pay them to work on your coach. Never heard of that policy at any other shop with a hook-up lot. But then I've not been to Red Bay yet, so maybe I don't fully understand the reason they do that.
