Red Bay, Really??

So, we live on the west coast in southern Oregon... 4,870 miles round trip to Red Bay. I keep seeing praises for going to Red Bay for fixes and repairs. Is there any alternative for that kind of service on the west coast? We have a 2021 34PA Open Road Allegro. So far, we're not impressed with what we've found for Tiffin or Ford service on these motorhomes.

That’s a tough one. I’m with you on that. I complain about my drive from Houston. Last month I was there and my neighbors were from Oregon. Long drive. I hope someone here can give you someone closer that is reliable. Because I am typing this reply, I can’t read to see if you provided your location in Cali. May be worth adding that info if not. I’m down on 3rd parties working on the coach, but truth be told I am sure there are some that exist that will provide better service than Red Bay. I’m close enough to Red Bay that I’d rather go there if possible.

I feel the same way coming from Phoenix... As I am new to RVing I choose to come back to Red Bay if possible... I have joined the local AZ Allegro Club and hope to find good local service locations for on-going support through their feed back etc.

Screwed that up. I see you wrote Oregon. No sure where I got Cali. I suspect there are people with good suggestions for you. Hopefully they see your post.

Not sure if you are under warranty, but for the chassis I would go to Brazil’s in Centralia, WA. Not sure how close you they are to you.

Here are a few Tiffin authorized service facilities on the west coast that can take care of warranty issues. Just be aware if parts are needed they will most likely have to come from Red Bay.

Coach Masters of Bend, Bend, OR
Martin Hveem Restoration Coaches, Redding, CA Note: They used to have a website, but at least you can get their contact info from the link posted
Affordable RV, Newcastle, CA
Phillip Hollingsworth's Family RV Service, Jackson, CA Phillip was formerly the west coast service rep for Tiffin.

East Valley RV Specialists, Apache Junction, AZ They are a Tiffin authorized service facility.

Well, after I read your post I went back and edited to say Oregon... you are not going crazy after all!

There are several reputable motor coach dealers and service centers in the Eugene/Coberg area (a lot of ex-Country Coach/Monaco/Beaver, etc. folks). If it's warranty, Tiffin has typically been pretty good about authorizing "others" to do the work. Check with Premier RV Services in Junction City for one. Marathon is also in the area and may be able to recommend someone.....

Not sure where you are exactly, but Martin Hveem in Redding, CA, right off I-5 is authorized warranty and repair work. Talk with Mark at (530) 244-4153

Red Bay, Really??

Good advice there for the Bend folks as well as Hollingsworth. I'm in the Oregon Rovers Tiffin group so we hear lots of stories about service. Good and bad. Today we were told some folks with a new Tiffin were told by Tiffin to NOT take it to RV Corral in Eugene. Heard that before. Those same folks are taking it to Coachmasters in Bend. One I have used is Oregon Motorcoach Center on Airport Rd., in Eugene. Good work and Tiffin backs them up.

Red Bay offers excellent service. I just returned from there. I have an 800 mile round trip. But, I am not sure they offer enough better service to make a 5,000 mile round trip unless you just wanted to see the country.

In it’s favor, it located very near Muscle Shoals, AL. If you like music by groups from the 60’s and 70’s, that is a great and historic side trip. The cost of traveling thousands of miles though, would buy a lot of CD’s with southern rock music.

Also, they just raised their service rate to $125.00 an hour.

We live one state north of you and had the same driving to R.B. reservations when we had some "issues" with our, then new, 2017 Tiffin Allegro Bus. While talking to Bob Tiffin he mentioned a "newly approved" West Coast Tiffin repair facility in Redding, California.

Martin Hveem Automobile Restoration, 1526 Charles Drive, Redding, CA 96003
(530) 244-4153. He has a Website.

Bob said Martin has done classic car restoration for him for years and after pleading with him for many of those years, Martin started a sideline dedicated to Tiffin motorhomes. I have dealt with Mark and they have fixed some of the work my local RV dealer attempted and some additional recall work. They are easy to find off of I-5, have a good working relationship with Tiffin and a heck of a lot closer than Red Bay.

I didn't read the posts until AFTER I posted my comments (kind of like reading instructions). I see BobGed and JBL have already mentioned Hveem.

We bought a new 2019 RED. We live in San Diego and have it serviced at RV Specialists which is an authorized Tiffin repair facility. They have handled all our warranty work and normal maintenance.
Can’t think of any reason to make the trek to Red Bay. Not like they have the market cornered on qualified service personnel.
